Join award-winning comedian and clown Elizabeth Davie to explore clowning and physical comedy in this drop in workshop. Clown techniques can inform all kinds of performance and help to connect you with your physicality, impulses and comic persona. This workshop will cover clowning fundamentals such as joy and playfulness in performance, creating a relationship with your audience and having complicity with fellow performers.

Instructor Profile

Elizabeth Davie

Elizabeth Davie is a comedian, clown and performer from Melbourne. She has created sell out comedy shows for festivals around Australia and written and performed in Channel 31 TV shows. Elizabeth has studied clowning, improvisation and performance with Giovanni Fusetti, Philippe Gaulier, Philip Burgers and Deanna Fleysher. Her recent solo show 'Super Woman Money Program' won the 2018 FRINGE WORLD Festival Best Comedy Award. Elizabeth is the recipient of the 2020 Adelaide Fringe Matt Tarrant Emerging Performer Grant for her new show 'Apex Predator', which will premiere at Melbourne Fringe 2019.
