Student Showcase Background

Sketch Comedy Writing Core

Page To Stage

It's time to put your writing to the test in front of an audience. This course features collaborative and solo sketch to be performed in a showcase environment.

Building upon the core concepts outlined in Intro To Sketch Writing, Page to Stage introduces students the skills required to get your writing translated to the stage.

This course offers a sharper focus on rewriting, technical refinement and comic action.

Over eight weeks students will work in a highly collaborative environment punching up other’s ideas, developing their specific comedic point of view and sharpening their work into lean stage-ready comedic pieces, culminating in a showcase on week 7 followed by show notes, discoveries, and re-writes in week 8 where students will take what they learned from a public performance and use it to improve their work.
