Lelda Kapsis

Lelda Kapsis

Lelda is the founder and Artistic Director of Blanche Improv in London. She is a very proud alumnus of The Improv Conspiracy, she completed her training at TIC in 2015 and was soon after cast on various teams including her very first house Harold team 'Delivery' and 'Original Cast', an improvised musical team. Lelda was also a member of the teaching staff at The Improv Conspiracy. Lelda regularly performs with Blanche's House team Sundae, who performed at Edinburgh Improv Festival earlier this year and will be playing at Das Improv Festival in September 2025.

In addition to improv, Lelda is an actor with a BA in Music Theatre from WAAPA. She began her acting career playing Lisa Houseman in the original stage version of Dirty Dancing in 2004. Since then, she has appeared in various theatre productions, notably with The Melbourne Shakespeare Company, and has also appeared in commercials and tv shows. Most recently she appeared on Out of Order, which filmed in London.

Through the course of her acting career, Lelda has studied Strasberg technique and she has adapted this method to enrich improv scenes by using the senses to activate the imagination.

Lelda has 25 years experience as a performing arts teacher. Her first teaching job was in her teens when she taught ballet after school. Lelda has experience teaching dance, drama, movement, Strasberg Technique, scene study, screen acting & improv.

Lelda views coaching as an enormous privilege, she does all she can to support players so they feel proud of their work.
