Alanah Parkin

Alanah discovered their love of improv through Howard Fine Studio’s Improv for Actors course in 2019. They started classes at TIC in 2021, and have also trained in improvised music theatre with Impromptunes. Alanah performs with VHS on Harold Night, and you can also catch them over at The Big HOO-HAA!

Alanah’s theatre credits include The Platform Collaboration and The Ribcage Collective (La Mama); BABECITY Hotline (Melbourne Fringe); Junior Detective Collective: The Mystery of the Golden Scoop (Adelaide Fringe); Love, Loss, and What I Wore (The Butterfly Club); Write Your Own Story and Three is a Magic Number (Melbourne International Comedy Festival); The Closet Project and Piper (Theatre Works); and The Breaths in Between (Missing Persons). Alanah also performs regularly with Playhouse Pantomimes, presenting original musical adaptations of beloved children’s classics. Their highlights with the company include Alice in Alice in Wonderland, Stepsister Eugenie in Cinderella, Mole in The Wind in the Willows, and Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty.

Alanah’s film credits include Still Me (Momentum Studios), Blackwood (Pixel), The Grand Scheme (Breeding Ground Productions), Him (Bentley Productions), In Darkness (dir. Chris Smellin), The Weeping Woman (dir. Scott DiStefano), and a supporting role in Breeding Ground Productions’s upcoming feature Residence. Alanah holds a BA (Theatre Studies and Creative Writing) from the University of Melbourne, and has trained in contemporary voice with Martine Halliday, classical voice with Samantha U’ren, and acting at Howard Fine Acting Studio.
